Hello all, Firstly, thank you Sherryn for your warm introduction and invitation to contribute to the blog. I think that the idea of establishing a network of early career teachers is a great one that will have the benefit of developing a free flow of communication in which to process experiences as a new teacher.
Just a brief explanation as to why my title is "the herbal tradition". Before training to become a teacher I qualified as a herbal medicine practitioner. I'm not sure why my title comes up as such in a teaching blog, I will try to change it!
I teach at St Paul's Catholic Primary School in Camden. I started teaching there last year on a casual basis and this year I am teaching year 4. We are just about to start the religious literacy unit and I am sitting here programming for it as we speak!!
